The majority of the classes I taught were classes that I created to add to the curriculum to make the program more enticing to students interested in film or media studies. Every year I facilitated at least three co-curricular, outside of the classroom, events for my students: for example, taking students to Telluride Film Festival, taking students to Denver Film Festival, taking students to current films being screened in the theaters, etc. I always added a historical context to everything I teach, so they not only learn about the film, get to experience films as a topic of academic scholarship, and to learn about the whole film's historical to write critical academic of their own arguments using their own innovative ideas.
