Our highly engaged and professional Board, along with the invaluable input from our Peoples Forum comprising core service users, shapes the very essence of our strategic vision. We operate with a staff of 26, of which 22 are actively involved in operational aspects. This allows us to maintain a lean and agile approach, firmly rooted in our grassroots ethos. Our Senior Management Team leads by example, actively participating in projects to ensure seamless delivery and relevance to our mission.At CAN, we have a profound vision—a space where individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and mental ill-health can realize their full potential, leading happy and fulfilling lives. Our reach extends to over 450 individuals, families, and carers, making us renowned for our innovative practices that offer holistic support to our service users and members. From fostering friendships to providing advocacy, advice, and signposting, we go beyond traditional care. We offer a diverse range of social, leisure, work, training, health, and independent living programmes, along with incredible opportunities for holidays, social enterprises, and employment, all aimed at empowering the most vulnerable members of society. Our underpinning aim is to create an organisation for informed and empowered individuals to push back the barriers to enable them to have the same fulfilling and creative opportunities as every other citizen therefore leading to our membership taking control over their own lives and destinies… “Enhancing Lives…Creating Change” We work with people with learning disabilities aged 12 and over…we have several Social Enterprises including Can Can Recycling, Can Can Bazaar (our shop) and Can Can Bubbles, our launderette. Project S.iNC (Sports & Leisure) works with children aged 12-18 and the Compass Shadow Council is the first ever elected body of people with learning disabilities. Show less
