 Responsible for the Applied Biosystems accounting division of Life Technologies for Europe, Middle East and Africa with a total revenue of $900MM, 21+ operating countries and 70 accounting staff in a de-centralized structure. Full range of accounting and controllership responsibility - US GAAP, SOX, Revenue Recognition, Monthly close and corporate reporting, Regional Business reviews, External statutory and tax reporting, Compliance, Accounts Receivable & Credit management, Accounts Payable. Member of European Leadership TeamACCOMPLISHMENTS: Finance and transformation leader for the transition of Applied Biosystems Accounting operations activities (in excess of $1 Billion Revenues) within EMEA to a new SSC & Centre of Excellence in Glasgow. This included feasibility study, organizational design and implementation phases for R2R, P2P and OTC. Project was successfully completed on time and below budget. European Finance lead for the divestiture of the Mass Spectrometry business to Danaher Corporation. This included implementation and management of the subsequent Transition Services Agreement to a strict timeline, involving significant changes to finance processes (SAP), training and reporting requirements. Required a high degree of change leadership and multi-disciplinary approach across international and diverse teams
