Janet Walker is an independent arbitrator based in Toronto, London and Sydney. Janet has served as sole, presiding, and co-arbitrator in ICC, HKIAC, ICDR, DIAC, KCAB, PCA, SIAC administered and in ad hoc, commercial and investor-state treaty arbitrations and emergency arbitrator mandates. Her matters cover fields such as construction, heavy equipment, M&A, shareholder, pharma, intellectual property, environmental, finance and employment. Janet is a Distinguished Research Professor of Law at Osgoode Hall in Toronto, where she teaches Conflict of Laws and International Arbitration, and also authors the main private international law text in Canada. Janet is a member of the Order of Canada.
