I have been in the Dental Field for over 17 years. I started out as a Dental Assistant attending Seattle Central CC - SVI. My mission was to help educate the public and bridge the gap in healthcare which dentistry is not being viewed as part of. After a few years as a clinical assistant I transitioned into the administrative side of dentistry, also while earning my degree towards becoming a Dental Hygienist. My new mission was to help fight for our patients and get the insurance carriers to pay for necessary treatment and not dictate what treatment is best (or what they were willing to cover). I also loved the challenge and the pride I felt when I had a full schedule and how I am able to retain the consistency of routine patient visits. I am very prideful whenever I reach or exceeded production goals but my favorite part of the my career is just being me, personable, funny and getting to know our patients. After I finished my AA I continued to grow in my current position which lead me to become a Team Lead and then Office Manager. I maintain my Health Department license as a Dental Assistant, attend continuing education courses so that I can continue to help my team or volunteer my services at the Special Olympics or Children Gets Care Day.
