Recent projects include: developed and launched a tailored marketing plan for a cloud-based telco looking to break into a specific end market; developed an integration playbook for a PE-backed dock and door platform business as part of buy-build strategy; advised PE-backed trash hauling business on integration planning efforts to minimize gaps and/or missteps.

The company's services include systematic contractual maintenance, repair, modernization, and inspection of elevators and escalators. The company was incorporated in 1997 and is based in Canton, Massachusetts. Currently, there are 21 offices from Maine to DC and Florida, as well as West Virginia and Ohio, Nevada, and California.

At Altair, Janet was one of three founding owners and led day-to-day operations. She grew revenues from $0 to $10 million in under 24 months with a mix of B2C and B2B project work including renovations additions and new builds. Janet was responsible for P&L oversight and bottom line profitability. In addition, she led all BD, estimating, financial planning, team building, as well as systems and processes development to scale.She helped grow sales from $0 to $10M in under two years. Altair Construction is a construction company specializing in new builds and renovations of both residential and commercial projects. Located in Newton, MA, Altair prides itself on being on target, on time and on budget while delivering on its promised level of quality, service, and execution. Altair is built on a commitment to excellence and making every project a success.

Janet successfully grew this specialized contracting business from $1.8M to over $22M in annual sales, and $5M in assets. In her role as Owner & President, she oversaw daily management of all aspects of the business including owning the P&L and overseeing cash management, collections, financial management and forecasting. She led the overall growth strategy, team building, BD, sales & marketing, as well as vendor and customer relationships. The primary target markets for Security Construction included federal, industrial and commercial projects. She also led the self-performing fence division, where she grew sales to both B2B and B2C markets and both union and non-union crews. Security Construction Services (SCS) offered general contracting services to federal agencies, public municipalities and commercial clients throughout New England. Their construction services focused on interior fit-out and building renovations, exterior upgrades, Access Control Point (ACP) improvements, security enhancements, military firing range construction, and secure construction. Security Fence Company (SFC) was a specialty fence contractor and division of SCS offering fabrication and installation of all types of fencing, gates, access control and perimeter security solutions for commercial and industrial customers throughout New England.
