About Janet Coughlan
I am an experienced financial services professional within the fund industry. My career began once I received my Business Studies Degree and accepted a client associate role in Citco in 2005. Within this role I gained the the basic necessary knowledge for the industry. Throughout my years within Citco I then progressed through several departments absorbing as much knowledge as possible to excel within my role. The roles were administration based however required high levels of organisation and attention to detail to mitigate levels of risk. High levels of multi-tasking was also required to ensure deadlines and client SLA's were met. Client satisfaction was at the forefront of our daily tasks therefore I built solid relationships throughout. Once Clearstream acquired Citco in 2014 I was able to slightly diversify and then developed my knowledge and skillset which lead me to spending time taking charge of the migrations for clients. I also took to working on the Helpdesk for our main client in investment funds. It was here I flourished and sustained a great relationship with the client and over saw any issues that arose with their accounts. Throughout my time in Citco/Clearstream combined I was able to progress throughout the company and up skill in several areas. The strongest skills being multi-tasking, high levels of communication, time management, client satisfaction/relationship building, problem solving and prioritising workloads. The skills mentioned are those that I take pride in as they are the main skills that have aided my career to date and allow me to achieve what I have.
