There is a lot we did well, but also many lessons that benefit my practice. My coaching practice was honed through professional coaching studies, completing an MBA in 2017, and my ongoing work at a top business school (GIBS).The top challenges that I see leaders facing today are:1. We invest years, if not decades, in becoming experts in our functional areas. We forget that leadership requires the same level of learning for mastery. Leadership too is a profession.2. Most of us were not gifted with great leadership examples when we were learning our leadership trade. As a result, many have adopted outdated and old-school approaches that fail to deliver a powerful following, which is crucial for success.3. Many leaders do not actively seek feedback on the efficacy of their leadership. This is curious given our focus on other key business metrics. At In2Great, we include 360 feedback at intervals, providing key information. Knowledge is power.But let's be real: Leading in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous) context is tough. The playbook is constantly changing. That's why our coaching practice builds leadership muscle, but also provides support in the form of thinking partnerships, to create the space to craft positive and sustainable change.I keep my skills honed through the wellness work I do with Shanti Innovations, and the coaches that I support and enable through Coach Quest.
