JANET STARK has been providing Admissions Consulting services (tutoring, advising, and helping with applications) for over 20 years.Prior to and concurrent with her admissions advisory work, she has also held senior marketing positions in both large and entrepreneurial organizations including General Foods (now Kraft), Nestle, AFS, Zing (a cable start-up) and McKinsey. Additionally, Janet has worked as a member of NYU-Stern’s Admissions Committee. Her breadth and depth of experiences have been invaluable to her clients as their job is to “market” themselves to the schools. And, unlike competitors, Janet does not have people working for her. Each year, her clients are accepted to leading undergraduate programs as well as MBA (two year and Executive) and other graduate programs (e.g., law,doctorate) This fall clients started at such schools as HBS, Wharton, Stanford, Ross, Darden, Kellogg, Columbia, Stern, Duke, Anderson, INSEAD, Sloan as well as Columbia and Stern executive programs. College students are heading to USC, Emory, Cooper Union, Vassar, University of Illinois etc, Thanks to her results and positive word of mouth, Janet has clients from around the world (e.g.,China, Africa, Brazil). Finding that many of her clients applying to graduate programs wish they could add to or change their resumes when it is too late, Janet also works with clients early in the process (e.g., during or right after college graduation) to identify and get the experiences--internships, professional and voluntary—that will make them stronger candidates and achieve greater success. Janet earned her MBA from Harvard Business School. As a founding member of the board of the HBS Women’s Association of metropolitan New York she maintains close ties to the school. She also holds a BS in Psychology from Case Western Reserve University, and a MSW from University of Michigan.Janet offers a free 30 minute consultation to college bound, college students and graduates.
