Who is your target audience, and what is the story you need to tell? I’ve been a writer, editor, and communications professional for more than 30 years, and I am a lifelong student of art, literature, classical studies, and the social sciences, particularly history, psychology, and sociology. Managing communications for a center at the Michigan Ross School of Business expanded my understanding of topics in Management and Organizations, particularly positive business practices and leadership. I have a deeply-ingrained respect for grammar that goes back to a fascination with diagramming sentences in the fifth grade. The Chicago Manual of Style is one of my favorite books, and I also have experience with APA style. I love figuring out the right questions to ask, as efficiently as possible, to ensure that I best serve your needs. All of this informs my approach to writing and editing, as I hone copy into an elegant, clear message that resonates with your target audience. I have extensive experience writing in several genres and building relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders; I also offer copy editing, content or developmental editing, and research services. After years working in environments from a tech start up to a 100-year-old university, I am enjoying forming productive collaborations with a variety of clients. When not crafting elegant copy, I can be found puttering in the garden, walking a trail or around my neighborhood, hanging out with friends, or obsessing about politics. I am extremely lucky to have two wonderful daughters, Natasha and Juliana. “She is proactive and thinks ahead to anticipate and solve problems before they happen.”CORE COMPETENCIESWritingCopy EditingDevelopmental EditingCoachingStakeholder RelationsStrategic ThinkingProject ManagementCORE STRENGTHSCreativityResourcefulnessDiligenceInitiativeAdaptabilityCuriosity
