I am currently a Senior Engineering Program Manager with Emulex Corporation. Emulex designs and develops storage networking products based on fibre channel and Ethernet network technologies and I am in charge of all project and programs for one of our top-flight OEM customers. In this role I lead several complex projects at any one time, managing multiple teams of up to 16 members.I made the move into the tech industry following a successful program management career with Boeing, where I served as a software engineer, systems engineer and systems architect on multiple large-scale and complex programs.My colleagues and managers know me as a highly organized professional who excels in delivering challenging hardware and software projects on time and within scope. Throughout my career, I have succeeded in situations deemed “impossible” by management. Success in such situations is often due in large part to my ability to remain calm under pressure as well as my positive outlook. I believe there is always a solution if you just think hard enough. I am an effective team leader with a reputation for detail-orientation, optimism, and creative problem-solving. I enjoy working with managers and customers to sort through complex issues and identify the right solution, and I thrive in situations where there is a need to communicate highly complex technical information in layman’s terms.I have an MS in Systems Architecture & Engineering from the University of Southern California and a BS in Computer Science from California Polytechnic State University.
