About Janet Odawa
It is more than evident, that a single Lego piece cannot tell a full story or show its potential without the other pieces; however, when brought together and fit together well, they could form anything; a flower, a city or an army; this also holds for businesses.I discovered at a young age, the importance of identifying a problem and finding relevant solutions to them, often creating small ventures from them too. This translated to my work with businesses and their owners; helping them improve their solutions, and processes to solve the problems they worked very hard to solve by ensuring they received quality capacity building and support to improve their businesses. I have worked in the education management and consulting industry which has enabled me to hone my program management skills, build lasting relationships and help business people fit their lego pieces together. Now, I make use of the information and resources available to me to help businesses identify how they are making an impact and how to leverage their teams to work towards creating a change in their societies effectively.My exposure to Social Innovation has taught me the importance of a story well told in solving social problems and how measuring the social impact can support activities carried out in improving interventions being carried out. I work with individuals to identify how they can use their businesses to make the world a better place and to reframe their organization's goals to bring change (Theory of Change).I am on a mission to help businesses align with the SDG's, setting up processes to help people and businesses work towards a better tomorrow, through innovation that impacts society with a focus on Impact Measurement and Team Effectiveness.
