A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt-certified professional and registered nurse, Janet combines healthcare planning and clinical expertise with Lean methodology and organizational strategy. Janet works to deliver flexible, efficient and patient-centered healthcare environments by applying Lean thinking at a project’s earliest stages, and by leading multi-disciplinary user groups with senior leadership and care providers. She also directs process improvement initiatives and helps providers transition into new facilities. Her operational design expertise has improved a range of inpatient and outpatient services—emergency departments, ORs, post-operational recovery, materials handling, labs, pharmacy and others—as well as ambulatory and pediatrics.Janet spent two decades as a clinician and administrator for Critical Care and Emergency Services at The Ohio State University Medical Center, where her emphasis on efficiency and supply chain management achieved millions of dollars in cost savings and significant improvements in throughput, patient satisfaction and quality outcomes. She was recognized by the University Health Consortium for these achievements and she frequently speaks at national conferences.
