Janette Ok is associate professor in the Department of Biblical and Theological Studies at Azusa Pacific Seminary (Azusa, CA). As a biblical scholar, she studies the New Testament, early Christianity and the formation of Christian identity. As a church leader, she has more than 20 years of ministry experience and currently serves as a pastor at Ekko Church in Anaheim, California. These interdisciplinary interests have shaped her preaching, teaching and scholarship, giving her a practical focus on church ministry and Christian leadership. Ok holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an MDiv and PhD from Princeton Theological Seminary.
