In this position I had responsibility for the development, planning, marketing, management and delivery of FPA national events in a professional, cost-effective manner; major annual events are the National Conference, National Principals’ Forum & CFP® Retreat and State Forums. As well as the overall direction and provision of support to FPA’s Chapters for state and other major events/functions (including Financial Planning Week), especially in the early stages of development. I also had the opportunity to develop and co-ordinate an FPA ‘partnership’ or support program to assist in funding professional development, financial literacy and other work of the FPA.

Leading an events team for ING entailed the financial management of a $4 million budget. The creation of the ING Events committee, including CEO and ED's, was positioned as a management "Wise Counsel" to effectively execute all major ING Activities. These included all ING Adviser Related Functions, vendor relationships, budget, project timelines, allocation of responsibility and event logistics.The role entailed implementation and on-site management of all ING Events and Functions, development of budget, marketing plans and Event Briefing Papers. Researching and developing of possible events and marketing opportunities for ING. Management and execution the Offshore Adviser conferences for ING (budget of $3million).Other events and conferences within scope were: Dealership Adviser and Proprietor conferences for ING, ING’s Adviser promotional events eg: ING Golf Classic, Oaks Day, FPA initiatives and Staff events, BDM Conferences, Divisional staff conferences.
