I provide leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of a Child Nutrition Program. I also provide leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of a health education K-12 curriculum. The major functions of this position include: food production and service, purchasing and contracting, financial management and record keeping, equipment/facility, fiscal, information and personnel management and health education. I am Chair of SHAC (School Health Advisory Council) and a member of the Farm 2 School Subcommittee.

As WIC Director I am responsible for the overall organization of and operation of the program. My responsibilities include: *Managing caseload numbers*Prepares annual proposal for WIC each fiscal year *Hires, orients, and supervises all WIC staff members *Interprets Federal Guidelines from USDA for WIC program, and implements activities and/or changes as necessary, and is responsible for staff training regarding new requirements.*Aids in development and revision of Nutrition Education Plan. *Responsible for scheduling and operation of WIC certification and voucher clinics. *Does clinic procedures as necessary, including health station (height and weight),intake station, and voucher issuance. *Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with health agencies andcommunity social service agencies. *Establishes WIC outreach and referral workAs WIC Nutritionist I am responsible for providing nutrition education and counseling to at risk prenatal, postpartum, breastfeeding and non breastfeeding, infants and children.

Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating evidence-based strategies towards the reduction of tobacco use in persons under the age of 18 in Macon County Public Schools.
