Civil/environmental engineer with a passion to improve our communities through enhanced decision support and education for a more resilient and sustainable future. I'm a problem solver of diverse challenges, translator across disciplines, and connector of people and information. My research is focused on applying risk analysis techniques to evaluate and minimize vulnerabilities of infrastructure assets and systems toward enhanced communtity resilience at all levels. I'm also interested in the interactions and role of humans in planning for and responding to not just hazards, but other factors that complicate situations such as inter-dependencies between systems, management decisions, and the social fabric of communities which can lend toward resilience when risks become reality. My consulting work ranges from assisting organizations in performing holistic risk management and risk assessments to environmental engineering projects such as evaluating the impacts of land use changes on future flooding conditions. I also have done GIS mapping and Hazus modeling to contribute to community hazard mitigation plans (HMPs). Specialties: Environmental Engineering, Transportation System Analysis (inland waterways, freight, multi-modal), Adaptation, Decision Support, Risk Management, GIS Analysis, data analysis, data visualization, K12 Education and Outreach, Hydrologic and Hydrodynamic Modeling, Climate Change Impacts, HAZUS Modeling, Infrastructure Resilience and Adaptation, Water Quality Modeling, Watershed Modeling and Analysis, Drinking Water Treatment, Stakeholder EngagementCheck out some of my work:http://www.vanderbilt.edu/vector/http://vanderbilt.edu/gised/https://www.vanderbilt.edu/risk-education/
