I was born in Jintan, Changzhou, a water town in China, famous for its textile industry. During my childhood, I was exposed to various crafts practiced by village girls, such as cotton cultivation, silkworm rearing, silk extraction, weaving, spinning, knitting, and crocheting. My mother, a traditional tailor, surrounded me with fabrics and clothing. A deep passion for textiles led me to enroll in the Textile Department of China's premier institution, China Textile University. Since then, my life has been inseparable from the world of textiles and clothing.Professional Journey:After university, I entered the workforce during China's rapid growth in foreign trade and exports. Over a decade working in foreign enterprises, I exported high-quality clothing from China worldwide, witnessing the growth of China's textile and clothing industry.Entrepreneurial Spirit:In 2001, I ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing an import-export company in Hong Kong and Shanghai. In 2003, nostalgia led me back to my hometown, where I invested in a foreign joint venture manufacturing various types of knitted clothing. The local community embraced the transformation from handcraft to semi-automated and automated manufacturing.Sustainability, Creativity and ImpactIn 2017, I founded a brand company in Los Angeles, USA, transitioning from a supplier to a brand owner. In 2021, we created the sustainable brand Y PUNTO, focusing on sustainable materials and green clothing. Our mission is to make the world a better place through our knits.In 2023, I, along with renowned artists and creative design mentors, established a design studio in London, UK. Our aim is to elevate fashion industry design standards, foster international fashion creativity, and support young designers' growth.Supporting Buyers:At Y Punto, we offer buyers high-quality, sustainable textile products that balance quality and affordability.
