What I strive for, in every aspect of my multi-faceted, rather eclectic career, is perfection. The standards I hold myself to are high and uncompromising and I am of the belief that being flexible, organized, and cheerful are the most useful skills any employee can have, across a range of careers. My work experience makes up a mosaic of knowledge and lessons I've collected over the years and while not every job opportunity will benefit from my balloon animal skills, I always bring a spirit of helpfulness . The interning, assisting, and managing that make up my resume below is an expression of my passion for being a supportive and solid member of all of the teams I've been a part of. I hope to bring an extra set of busy-work loving hands and dedication to success to your business.In the winter of 2016, I completed a BFA in Fiction Writing with a minor in Playwriting at Columbia College Chicago. During my time at CCC, I interned as well for Gumbo Fiction Salon, a monthly reading series, and led the open mic. As for my professional writing experience, from 2013-2017 I worked at Nothing Without a Company, a site-specific, LGBTQ+ and allies theater company in Chicago. I worked up from Literary Intern to Company Ensemble member and NWAC produced my first full-length, slap-stick play, "Bobby Pin Girls", opening in the fall of 2017. My short story "The Face in the Box" was selected as a 2018 winner for the "Writers of the Future" contest, for the 1st quarter, coming 3rd place. It was subsequently published in the anthology of the same name as the contest. "Pink as Peaches" opened the literary magazine "Hair Trigger"'s 40th anniversary collection and won a Scholastic Press Association Award in the Short Collegiate Fiction category.
