About Jan Færch
Started out in retail back in 1988 (!) and had many good years as a mid manager in Metro KS, Kvickly, Dagrofa, Føtex, Din aktive Isenkræmmer and Silvan. Learned a lot about people, both in sales and also as a manager. From 1999 to 2006 I was part of an amazing Company called SONOFON. My task was to educate customers and get data usages to increase. It was a blast, introducing content (Backgrounds, Ringtones, Music etc.) on the mobile and doing innovative business development in this space. But best of all, was the people. Even to this day, everyone from SONOFON feel connected. 2007 to 2008 I was part of Unwire. Major achievement was the introduction of mobile tickets and securing a deal with DSB, Movia, Metro and Fyn Bus. It was one year of never ending opportunities to bring value to customers. Besides the ticketing deal, I focused on the Media vertical and ended up with a job offer from TV 2. 2008 to 2015 I worked as Commercial Manager for TV 2, building the TV 2 PLAY service. At first it was an unstable and to some extend unwanted online video service called Sputnik. I had a hard time to get any airtime on TV 2 channels since the service was not popular. That all changed over time, and when I left the job, the service was paramount to TV 2 with a significant ARR. My team and I, with the support from changing leaders, made TV 2 PLAY a huge success for TV 2. Truly a team effort to be proud of. 2016 returning to Unwire, now as VP. And when acquired by CLX in 2018 I was trusted as GM for the DK office. In 2019 we rebranded to Sinch and my responsibility expanded into Nordic & Baltics where I now run all sales and account management as Regional Director. I have a wonderful team of high performers who enjoy each others company and are having fun while producing extraordinary results every year. 2024 - joined Viatel Sweden AB. The company offers best in class SMS voting and mobile donation services in all of Nordic. In my role as CRO I will focus on sales, marketing, market expansion and M&A. Happy to make a difference.
