Jan Fletcher has successfully owned and operated a large number of diverse businesses.​Jan is currently a Board Director of INW Group and Chairman of Mera Investment Management, Rougemont Estates, CHR Group and Fletcher-Smillie Investments. These companies operate in sectors as diverse as the manufacturing of nutrition and wellness products, the syndication of commercial property investments and property lending and finance. In addition Jan is co-founder of Prime Women and Primera, a US online magazine and TV network.Throughout her career, Jan has gained vast experience in running and owning businesses which, in addition to the above, have included a motor retailing group, accident repair centres, restaurants, publishing, radio stations, haulageand commercial vehicle sales.​Jan has held a number of Chairman and non-executive director roles, particularly helping to steer growth, investment strategies, acquisitions and corporate governance.Jan was a non-executive director of the Skipton Building Society for ten years; a non-executive director of Guardian Media Group's Real Radio, non-executive director of Eurodirect Group and non-executive director of Callcredit – a company which went on to a successful IPO. Jan was also founding Chairman of Marketing Leeds.​Jan was awarded an OBE for Services to Industry in 1997 and is a winner of the Veuve Clicquot British Business Woman of the Year Award. In 2010 Jan was appointed a Government Advisor as a member of The U.K. Secretary of State for Business Entrepreneur’s Forum (BIS).​Throughout her life, Jan has been an active supporter of numerous charities and is currently Patron of Make a Dream, a children’s charity, and The Fletcher-Smillie Foundation.
