Jan Fox spent almost 20 years at this CBS affiliate chasing murders, firetrucks, water main breaks, beltway problems, interviewing politicians and all other breaking news. The real thrill was making a difference: started the first car seat checks, put scammers in jail, made rip-off artists pay big fines, told stories of hope and healing, helped all kinds of people find a better way, spoke to hundreds of community groups, calling them to action. Jan Fox is grateful for the long ride and for every opportunity along the way. 3 Emmys!

Jan Fox went to Portland, ME, to check out a reporter job. Within two days, she was offered the anchor position. Jan had never been an anchor a day in her life. She was a bit nervous about such a big responsibility, so she rode in every parade, modeled in every community fashion show, spoke at every women's luncheon. Within in 1 year, the # 2 station took the #1 position with a 51% market share. Jan and WCHS editors won many Maine Assn. of Broadcaster's awards. The show won and Emmy nomination. Jan has great fondness for a team that took a chance on her and many great memories from one of the most gorgeous spots on the planet!

Jan was a school teacher and an associate college professor. By a fluke, with no prior TV experience, Jan Fox was picked to fill in for a 13 week contract as the fill-in Host of an ABC Talk Show. Almost 5 years and double the ratings, Jan was still the Host of the weekly Emmy Award-winning news/entertainment program “New England Sunday”. She interviewed a long list of celebrities, spots figures and politicians. During the week, she was a field reporter for the “Good Day Show"​. To work on these shows, Jan says, "was a thrill beyond words". No kid from her little town ever had such an incredible opportunity.
