For more than 24 years, I’ve worked tirelessly in the field of education, advocating for students and striving to provide resources needed to learn without limitations. I am unwavering in my commitment to all learners and educators. Due to my various educational experiences ranging from teacher, assistant principal, principal, state and district administrator, I am able to deliver results and offer ambitious, sound, servant leadership.I strongly believe every student deserves to have a high quality education. Effective teachers in every classroom and strong instructional leaders in every building will ensure that we eliminate the achievement gap, mitigate poverty, and build on economic prosperity. In addition to assisting in the development of the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness System for teachers and principals and implementing the system at the largest urban district in Wisconsin, I’ve been instrumental in shifting school cultures as an educational leader and shaping individualized teaching and administrative philosophies into a broader shared vision using data to benefit more students and create stronger schools and communities of learning. Professional Accomplishments:■ Led execution of the Wisconsin Educator Effectiveness System for Milwaukee Public Schools in support of the state and district’s strategy for developing educators and improving student outcomes through effective instruction.■ Led the state of Wisconsin in the development and implementation of the Educator Effectiveness System for 424 districts committed to developing teachers and principals. ■ Employed statewide regional support for a network of K-16 practitioners on professional growth model; developed comprehensive educator trainings to promote district and school access to effective teachers and leaders.■ Received Distinguished Alumni for Leadership and Service in Education Award, University of Wisconsin–Green Bay (2012)
