Dr. Jan Richter is a Product Management Director at Siemens Digital Industries Software, taking care of systems and embedded software architecture design in the context of Electrical and Electronic (E/E) system development. He previously held several positions in technical software product management, project management, and industrial research at Siemens in the areas of model-based systems and embedded software engineering, formal methods in engineering, discrete factory automation, functional safety, and fault tolerant automation. He holds a doctorate degree (Dr.-Ing.) in control theory from Ruhr-Universität Bochum in 2004 and 2009, where he developed fault-tolerant control methods for nonlinear dynamical systems, and where he taught graduate courses on nonlinear dynamics and control for 10 years while at Siemens. He is also a certified SAFe product manager.
