Writer Annie Dillard said, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.”The average person spends 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime (84,365 to be exact), according to industrial-organizational psychologist and data scientist Andrew Naber.That's about one-third of our lives or about 30% of our waking hours at work.This is why I find deep satisfaction in providing career guidance to working professionals and jobseekers nail their career interests, motivations, strengths and goals, and steer them towards charting a self-driven and strategic career planning and development journey.Having felt lost and lonely in navigating career development and the job search process as a youth, I have chosen to be a career coach to be a beacon of light for others. That said, I continue to seek guidance, mentorship and inspiration from others. Looking for, following and sticking to one's North Star is a continuous journey of reflection and action.Possessing a dominant Social career interest, I have spent the larger part of my career in social services, uplifting the underprivileged through service gaps analysis, community outreach, stakeholder engagement and strategic partnerships. The results are mutual trust, deep working relationships, synergistic outcomes and a stronger and more sustainable community ecosystem to plug service gaps and tighten the safety net.Even now, I am helping individuals strive towards achieving social mobility through enhancing their career readiness and employability. I am thrilled to have helped my learners land full-time and internship roles!Besides personalised career coaching, I actively engage in employers and recruiters outreach to collaborate in recruitment, industry talks and networking opportunities. In the current season of my career, I am particularly interested in partnering companies that welcome motivated and adaptable mid-career professionals looking to pivot to high-growth sectors, such as ESG, sustainability, software development sector and more.Outside of work, I'm passionate about health and fitness, nutrition, and [assistance] dogs.
