There's nothing like life's twists and turns to make one squirm on the hook of life, eh?! One does not have to become the 'story' we tell ourselves and others ... finding freedom from past events and the story we've created around them to make sense and to grasp events that feel traumatizing when they originally occur, is part of the manner in which we deepen and can discover the means to dive into one's heart and reclaim soul. It is possible to experience life's challenges, to glean the pearls and gold within them, without succumbing to fear and pain and becoming stuck there. Utilizing opportunities that cross our path, the learning moments that may change us forever, requires feeling and integrating them, and then eventually, moving past the initial events, finding a manner to claim the strength and power embedded within them, reinventing not only oneself as one is moving forward, but it's about claiming the natural gifts within these events. These events are not a 'story' to be told, they are the building blocks of one's unfolding power. If one is present to the experience of life, sometimes we need another person to assist us and act as a guide, to witness our process, another someone to assist in making meaning of the events of our lives. Transmuting difficulties into an empowering scenario is rewarding work.Discovering one's higher Wisdom and connecting with soul's purpose and living from a place of personal power and well-being is possible! Having gone through a journey with cancer, reconnecting with my body, mind and spirit was essential. I have learned on a deeply personal level, that I am NOT my story, but rather, I am a spiritual being whom has learned to harness the events of my life and embrace the lessons encoded therein to give me strength and power to live a full life. I draw upon many healing modalities to assist myself and others in this passage.

As a 'Missionary' at Optimum Health Institute, I am in a supportive role in which I both lead and assist during classes; I also provide assistance and support to new guests during their stay, as they become acclimated and participate in the program, an interdisciplinary, health and spiritual process. This program is designed to facilitate healing via ancient spiritual disciplines, detoxing and cleansing the body and renewing the mind and spirit. In part, I lead lymphatic exercise, spiritual process, participate in all parts of this holistic program, inclusive of providing support and information.

Assisting and providing support and resources to patients in a warm, caring, and supportive environment; working collaboratively with patients and their families and care providers to develop individualized treatment plans based on up-to-date medical knowledge and providing resources for alternative treatments, empowering patients to be their best advocate.

Case manager in a Transitional Housing Program for emancipating youth leaving Foster Care System; inclusive in case management services: coaching, counseling, teaching life skills, providing structure and guidance while advocating for foster youth. In addition, I worked closely with social work assistants, guiding and sharing in a collaborative approach to building a strong team.

Front-line care for newly released psych ward clientele; among many tasks, providing counseling, med-support and coaching of transitional living skills necessary for patients to move more seamlessly back into the community.
