CURRENT ROLE: At The Epoch Times, I am assigned to cover the 2024 campaign of former President Donald Trump and related issues, including the criminal indictments he faces.BACKGROUND: As a journalist with decades of experience, I conduct thorough, fair interviews, distill large amounts of information, and produce compelling, nuanced, and balanced news and feature stories.I am also the author of four nonfiction books (including three works-for-hire).In 2018, after my debut book revealed new findings about an old murder case, I was invited to appear live on CNN. That true-crime book, "SUBMERGED: Ryan Widmer, his drowned bride, and the justice system," won two national awards for independent authors. It also became a regional best-seller and is rated above 4 stars on Amazon.com.In 2019, I was hired to write a biography; all proceeds benefit a charity. In less than a month, more than $7,000 was raised. I have volunteered my time to promote the book, "A Comforting Light: Cancer Crusader Mary Jo Cropper & Her Legacy of Hope," which was released in September 2020.My most recent work-for-hire is a 2023 memoir (which ordinarily would have been ghost-written), "Painting in the Rain: A True Story of Trickery and Triumph" By Victoria Ellen with Janice Hisle.In addition, I have done freelance writing for the Associated Press, Cincy Magazine, and Ohio Business Magazine. SIDE HUSTLE/VOLUNTEER WORK:In May 2021, I was appointed to a volunteer position for a nonprofit organization. As Communications Chair of the Germania Society of Cincinnati, I coordinated internal and external communications for one of the region's largest social clubs focusing on German culture and heritage. I produced newsletter content, social media posts, advertising budgets for radio and other media, news releases, photography, and graphic design for signage and promotional materials. I also conceptualized, shot and edited videos for social media use and served as the group's on-air spokeswoman for several local radio programs. Within a six-month period, post engagement on Facebook quadrupled, and we added 1,500 new followers to our page's audience. Within a year, the audience doubled to 10,000.In addition, I am a nationally certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
