I maintain accurate dietary records for over 80 residents, ensuring they receive adequate nutrition for their specific lifestyles. I develop personalized nutritional guidelines for each resident to incorporate any existing conditions and dietary restrictions. I also actively engage residents in their nutrition education to promote an active participation in their own nutrition lifestyle.

I am leading a systematic review in the Zadeh lab. The project aims to conduct an analysis of dietary interventions focused on improving sleep among older adults in long term care. We are working in collaboration with Dr. Capazuti and Dr. Krieger from Weil Cornell in order to synthesize their knowledge of general non-pharmacological interventions in this field. The goals of this systematic review are as follows:-Determine if dietary interventions can significantly improve sleep amongst older adults in long term care.-Identify dietary interventions that have succeeded in improving sleep amongst older adults in long term care. -Document areas of dietary research that could be pursued further.I am the primary author of a paper on the results of this systematic review and I will developing it as an honors thesis.

I work with Dr. Zadeh on the Home Opioid Prescription Education and Smart Storage (HOPES) Project. The project aims to design a framework to implement with elderly patients to increase adherence to their medication. We develop videos that will allow easy access to such educational materials for both elderly patients and relevant caregivers. Specifically my work has included:-Developing a front-end survey for at-home care providers to understand and identify current barriers faced with taking medication.-Creating a video script and collaborating with an animation studio to produce the educational film.-Leading small group evaluations to improve feedback of the video.-Hosting dialogues with patients and partners to implement a flexible framework we can apply in a diverse array of patient lifestyles.I am co-authored in an upcoming publishing guideline and paper outlining the project.

I work with dietitians to develop and implement culturally appreciative educational programs for dining staff, which enhances their understanding of diverse dietary needs. I work closely with the food and dining service to curate and improve service quality for the Cornell community. I also validate nutritional content and allergen information for ingredient purchases to uphold consumer safety. More recently, I have begun to design and teach novel educational materials that emphasize how to lead a diet healthy lifestyle for Cornell students, with a focus on students with disabilities. My lesson plans are being implemented university wide for greater nutritional education access.

I work with Dr. Poole on the Precision Nutrition New York project. The project aims to perform a pilot study focused on identifying how produce fibers impact the gut microbiome as compared to whole grain fibers. Specifically my work has included:-Leading the development of a survey to gather input from our target population on our research protocol.-Analyzing and presenting the results of the survey into our lab protocol.-Developing front end recruitment materials for participants in the study including but not limited to: posters, flyers, informational brochures and presentations.

I lead an organization of writers, editors and artists to produce a magazine publication by the end of each semester. During the process, I review over 100 proposals for articles to ensure quality of research and avoid duplicate topics. I recruit and train all new authors and editors through information sessions hosted at the beginning of the publishing cycle. I built a community by supporting initiatives for members of the club to network with professionals in the field of healthcare.

I coordinated a team of artists with authors to design and illustrate images and graphics to accompany their articles about modern healthcare. I directed the timeline and communication between creatives and the editorial staff to improve efficiency.

I managed a team of 20 student clerks in organizing alumni events for specific class years. I mediated discussions between staff and alumni planning teams for larger university-wide events. I took action to help redirect planning due to hazardous weather, prioritizing the well-being and security of staff, students and attendees.

I led informative campus tours for groups of over 30 guests, showcasing Cornell's facilities, academic programs, and campus life. Between tours I welcomed and assisted visiting students and their families on self-guided tours for a personalized experience.

I spearheaded social media outreach program for FNEC to inform the Ithaca community about up-to-date nutritional guidelines and resources provided by the program. My work with their social media platforms helped to spread awareness and resulted in a 543.6% increase in Instagram interactions and a 345.6% increase on Facebook. I helped to support local farmers' markets and businesses to create accessible, nutrition-focused promotional content, boosting community awareness.

I developed pedagogical materials for students to understand the core values of Global health and hosted sensitive discussions about the history of bias in global health responses with students. I also presented my journey as a student in order to explain the various opportunities available to students in the field of global health.

I arranged and illustrated artistic projects that promoted relevant information about Covid-19. The club has recently pivoted to working on a large-scale painting piece focused on mental health. I am directing the presentation and creation of said project.
