I am currently presiding over the growth and strategic development of the Corporate FP&A team in collaboration with C-suite executives with a mandate to exceed ambitious financial and operational targets for the business. In this role, I designed and implemented a suite of finance processes and protocols reporting directly to the CFO. I fostered relationships with leaders throughout the business to gain an in-depth understanding of issues impacting performance before developing and rolling out financial solutions. Achievements included the following:* Successfully streamlined the budget process, introduced a new reporting and analytics process, improved enterprise-wide reporting functionality for Gross to Net Sales walk-down with an overall aim of making these processes more actionable, user friendly, and insight-driven.* Led an end-to-end transformation project (SAP COPA module rollout) to deliver efficient gross margin analysis and profitability enhancing activities.* Acted as a focal point and subject matter expert for all aspects of finance systems or process implementation initiatives including extensive liaison and consultation with IT/technical teams through all phases.* Collaborated with the Corporate Strategy team to conduct intensive analytical research and prepare reports to facilitate ongoing strategic planning activities.

I was promoted to this role from Senior Manager (see role below) when taking on Pet Segment responsibilities and held dual accountability for Corporate FP&A for the first three years of this role. Accomplishments included the following:* Enhanced Pet Segment performance by designing and delivering improved reporting capability (budgets, forecasts, MD&A, Board Packs) and worked closely with the CFO to produce timely and accurate analysis for high-level planning and decision-making.* Acted as a conduit for Pet/Corporate leaders and the Pet Business Units to resolve issues and facilitate the achievement of strategic planning deliverables.* Held accountability for 28 cost centers and signed off on the expenses of over 100 employees.* Conducted variance analysis and examined projections versus actual results to identify areas for improvement.* Streamlined and codified financial processes underpinning the sales element of Pet Segment P&L including the overhaul of P&L/account roll-up of Sales and standardizing sales allowance/deduction coding processes for ERPs and business units having deployed best practice reporting tools.

I established foundational FP&A processes to bring corporate budgeting, long-term planning, and forecasting capability into line with industry best practice standards. I directed a team of three resources (from Financial Analyst to Finance Manager). Achievements and contributions included the following:* Implemented Hyperion Essbase tool to improve speed and accuracy of planning and reporting functions.* Liaised with C-level executives and the Board of Directors as a trusted and influential finance expert.* Oversaw key areas such as consolidation, analysis, development, and reporting for senior management colleagues including preparation of income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, RONCA, EP, and any other relevant items to aid executive decision-making.* Successfully overhauled the annual operational planning and budgeting process and consolidated ERP systems into a single solution (SAP) in consultation with the business, finance teams, and IT partners.
