As the Academic Learning Center director, I supervise and manage our facility to create an optimal academic learning environment. I provide faculty with valuable insights and resources to support students with diverse learning needs, as our school is private and does not honor IEPs or 504 plans. My role involves offering teaching strategies to enhance differentiated learning and conducting Math and Reading placement testing for new students. I coordinate peer-to-peer tutoring and actively participate in the Academic Review Board, ensuring the implementation of recommendations. Additionally, I facilitate academic intervention plans and meetings for students facing challenges. Overseeing the Designated Study Hall and monitoring students completing online programs for credit recovery are also within my responsibilities. As a member of the Academic Committee, I contribute to shaping our students' academic success. My dedication lies in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive.

As the CIS Director, I am responsible for the oversight and administration of the academic and residential programs for Cadets in grades seven thru nine, which is our Middle School/Center for Integrated Studies (MS/CIS). The job of the MS/CIS Director is to build and maintain positive relationships among faculty, staff, cadets, and families by assisting, advising, supporting, directing, and problem-solving. While my role also includes all of the areas requiring decisions concerning the management of the MS/CIS, such as textbooks and discipline, my overall focus remains on positive and collaborative interactions with each member of the Hargrave community.
