My calling is to be a nurse so I can help others. During my career, I found that not only the patients but the staff need help and support too. As a director who is focused on quality patient care, I find that connecting with employees helps to create this enviroment. I have used this skill throughout my career which has helped me advance and be assigned a variety of different nursing units and departments to lead. As a leader I have had to implement many new ideas in an effort to improve patient care and efficiencies. After the new process is completed it is then implemented throughout the hospital. I began my career as an ICU nurse which trained me to be detailed oriented. This foundation is still used as I create budgets or plan the opening of new units. I collaborate with many other health professionals to ensure that everything is in place and within budget as projects come to completion.
