Responsible for providing high-risk pregnancy care for women experiencing multiple gestation, premature labor, premature rupture of membranes, maternal hypertension, diabetes and other pregnancy-related conditions. Performs initial histories, assessments, preventive health management, chronic disease management, direct care of acute and episodic problems, patient and family education, prescription of medications, ordering and reviewing diagnostic studies.

Responsible for providing leadership in Norton Healthcare's Prevention and Wellness program, utilizing evidence based screening practices and follow up for patients in the community with emphasis on cancer and disease prevention, early detection, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care. Collaborate patient care and programming with physician and health care team. Perform colposcopies/biopsies and plan of care recommendations for patients with abnormal cervical cancer screens.

Responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare for both obstetrical and gynecological care patients throughout their life cycle with emphasis on high-risk prenatal care. Duties included diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and management of female patients from puberty to menopause. Performed initial histories, assessments, preventive health management, chronic disease management, direct care of acute and episodic problems, patient and family education, prescription of medications, reviewing and ordering diagnostic studies. 20 -25 patients seen daily in 32 hour work week.

Herat Afghanistan

Forward deployed to Herat, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Officer in Charge of 20 member multinational Medical Embedded Training Team and Senior Advisor to the Afghan National Army Commander of the Western Region of Afghanistan. Advised and mentored the Western Regional Medical Leadership Team towards operational independence and delivery of high quality health care to the Afghan National Security Forces.
