I taught Public School Music 10 years and one year at Doane College in Crete, NE to fill in for the Vocal Music Professor while on Sabbatical Leave. The job included teaching private voice students and preparing two students for Senior recitals. Also conducting Choral Groups, one of which was the Doane Singers for their Annual Tour and teaching music history and choral conducting classes. After receiving a Masters Degree of Sacred Music at Union Theological Seminary in NYC I worked at Farmer City United Methodist Church three years as Director of Music with five choirs, directing both choral and handbell choirs. I have also served in several Lutheran Churches in Dayton, OH. After serving for 20 years as a Diaconal Minister of Music, I became ordained in the United Methodist Church as a Deacon. I continued to serve in the United Methodist Church for three years followed by three years as Organist/Director of Music at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran church and Concordia Lutheran in Dayton until I retired in 2004. Since then I have been participating as a singer and member of the Handbell Choir in Christ United Methodist Chuch in Dayton. I am glad to still be able to teach voice and piano in my home. My objectives are to help my students use their talents to perform well and to enjoy music.
