About Janice Atkin

My passion is quality health and physical education for all Australian students. I have state, national and international experience in health and physical education curriculum development and delivery and pride myself on producing high quality, innovative and future focused curriculum resources. I have worked as a curriculum consultant for the past 20 years, initially with the NSW Department of Education and most recently with the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority. I have also worked in consultancy roles with a range of not-for-profit organisations.My recent projects have included managing the development of the Australian Curriculum Health and Physical Education and providing curriculum support and professional development to schools and teachers throughout Australia and overseas.I have been working as a freelance consultant for the past 2 1/2 years working on a range of projects including whole of government initiatives, providing strategic curriculum and policy advice to federal and state government departments and developing resources for a range of organisations in the government, non-profit and documentary film sectors.
