A word (or many) about me:Sometimes helping begins with the grace of allowing help. At only six years old, I was lucky to meet lifeguard Jeff Solomon as I sat under a life guard tower 8 at Santa Monica beach. Seeing that I felt stuck, one of the life guards befriended me. Jeff told me: “Start writing”. And so I did. Writing - which I do to this very day - helped me focus, prioritize and plan. It helped me know me when nobody else would or did.It also helped me know that life lived without challenges isn’t worth much. Since then, and in huge part because of the helping hands and pens of Jeff, Terry, Paul and other Santa Monica City beach-guards, I have been a Peace Corp drop out, serious student (and college grad), a bike racer on the US National team, a world class waitress, a little sister to two loving big brothers, aunt and great aunt to many, a frequent fiancé, a Master Swimmer, a daring rock climber, a corporate wellness coach, body builder, loyal friend, assistant to State Hospital staff in high risk adventure for high risk populations, massage therapist, Luna’s mom, Mike’s wife, Spa developer and owner, free form ceramic artist, stand-up paddle board instructor, gardener, Motion Management practitioner, body worker, accomplished surfer, bike commuter (back before it was hip and even with a rock in my eye), yurt dweller, fish bopper, knitter and courageous bon voyage companion.
