About Janice Lee

I'm a freelance editor with experience in fiction, nonfiction, comics, and poetry. I offer developmental editing, line editing, copyediting, proofreading, production editing, and fact-checking services. My clients include Penguin Random House, Hachette Book Group, Algonquin Books, Marquand Books, the UCLA Labor Center, and Frye Art Museum, and I previously worked in-house at alternative comics publisher Fantagraphics Books. I've spoken about editing at the American Copy Editors Society national conference, and I’ve taught copyediting and proofreading at the University of Washington.
