In her role as Managing Director of the GCV Leadership Society, Janice brings together global investors who together want to solve today's innovation challenges, promote and support professional development for the industry, and nurture next generation leaders. The Society represents the top 20% of elite Corporate Venture Capitalists (CVCs) who do 80% of investment deals worldwide. For 14+ years, Janice served as Vice President for the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA). Her oversight of business development activities, membership, and benefits and services for top-quartile Venture Capitalists, forged deep investor relationships that benefited entrepreneurs and the start-up ecosystem, as well as the US economy overall. Prior to working for the NVCA, Janice provided consulting serves in risk management and non-dues revenue income for many not-for-profit organizations including the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives. She has authored numerous articles on these subjects and has been a guest lecturer for various organizations including the American Bar Association, National Association of the Remodeling Industry and the American Society of Association Executives.Janice earned a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter degree from the Insurance Institute of America, concentrating in risk assessment and management. She is also a recording artist, performs a variety of music genres, and has a passion for furthering the advancement of health and wellness for retired racing Greyhounds through fostering and adoption programs, and participating in Greyhound research studies at Ohio State University. Janice is the co-founder of Trinity Community Garden, which was established in 2013 as an educational opportunity for Herndon Virginia Elementary students, and continues to provide produce to immigrant workers and local emergency food programs.
