As an artist, I explore the collage medium, sometimes combined with mark-making and text -- creating elegant abstract works composed of fragments of paper and recycled imagery. This work is highlighted on my Instagram feed (@janicemcdonaldart) and on my website (www.janicemcdonald.com). Please take a look.I enjoy collaboration and welcome opportunities to work on projects such as signage, interior, and set design endeavors that incorporate my artwork.My collages have been included in numerous solo and group shows, and in juried exhibitions around the US and the world. I’m grateful that many of my collages find homes with individual collectors, in site-specific commissions, and in corporate collections -- including those of the Adolph Coors Foundation, IMA Financial, CoBank, Beaver Run Resort, Castle Rock Adventist Hospital, Denver Health, Denver Seminary, Aspen Arbor Animal Hospital, and Boulder Community Hospital among others.Specialties: Fine art collageContemporary artCommissionsGraphic design background** My design work and collage practice creatively fed each other for more than 25 years, however in 2022 I phased out of my design practice.
