About Janik Andreas

I am a graduated science major, combining the often mind-bending field of physics (see ‘Gravity as Geometry’) with the joyfully empirical field of Computer Science (the phrase ‘It just works!’ is ubiquitous). I can spend hours on projects that make a difference in other people's lives: Integrating government Open Data that will our cities more data-driven and our citizens better informed, intuitive and simple web-apps that teach you about different voting system that affect every citizen, or helping an art journal stay online and open so more people can enjoy academic film reviews. I love spending too-many-hours on medium, stack-overflow and css-tricks to learn more about best practices as they evolve, as well as taking head-first plunges into new tech such as the Flutter SDK.I care about community and have spent a good portion of my degree involved in various organizations including but not limited to student leadership/tutoring/teaching, environmental activism, sports leadership etc. I am a convinced urbanist that loves building density, gets excited about smart city planning and alternative modes of transportation.
