SYL, i.e. the National Union of University Students in Finland, is a student organisation which represents approximately 132,000 students in Finland. All student unions in Finnish universities are members of SYL. A student union is a public corporation which is governed by the Universities Act.As Education Policy Adviser my responsibilities include the fields of university funding and structural development of universities as well as international and EU education policy.

As Political and International Officer my responsibilities include political planning, organizing campaigns, elections campaigns and also international affairs with our Nordic, European and international umbrella organizations.

I was responsible for creating and coordinating academic working life forum 'Työelämäforum' with a team. My responsibilities included organizing and recruiting volunteers, finding keynote speakers and organizing the venue for the event. I was alko responsible for the finances of the event.Added to the lectures given by keynote speakers, Työelämäforum event let hundreds of students and tens of employees contact each other in work market area and students could participate in various workshops.
