I have been a litigator and trial attorney for over 25 years. I have represented individuals in wrongful death and personal injury matters, insurance coverage denials, and multi-district product liability claims, among other things. I have defended corporations and universities in employment matters, contract disputes, and ERISA claims. In 2006, I was awarded membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a group reserved for those trial lawyers who have received a verdict or settlement of at least a million dollars. I have been consistently named as an Ohio Super Lawyer in Personal Injury, and in 2012, I was listed in the Who's Who in Toledo Area Law.I served as President of the Toledo Women's Bar Association in 2009-2010, and continue serving on its Board of Trustees. I had the great honor of being awarded its Arabella Babb Mansfield Award in 2012. I was selected by the Ohio Supreme Court to mentor newly admitted attorneys, and have done so for the last 5 years. I am admitted to the bars of both Ohio and Michigan, the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals, Sixth Circuit, and the United States District Court's for the Northern District of Ohio, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Western District of Michigan.I was a member of the Ohio Commission on the Rules of Practice and Procedure from January 2, 2008 - December 31, 2010. I was Board President of Harbor Behavioral Health in 2006-2007 and Board President of the Alzheimer's Association of Northwest Ohio from 1999-2001.
