Managed the rollout of the new Corporate Risk Framework, while supporting business lines in identification assessment and documentation of risk. Responsible for fostering a natural risk culture and ensuring alignment with best practice. I also facilitated quarterly and annual performance reviews to meet obligations under the PGPA Act.

As Chief Information Security Officer I was responsible for setting the strategic direction for information security across the ATO, ensuring an enterprise wide focus on management and assurance. I worked with key stakeholders to connect the pillars of ATO security to bring together a collective view of security risks and played an instrumental role in the development of the Information Management Strategic Framework.

I led a diverse team of design and communication specialists, focused on improving the user experience and driving a client-focused approach to communications. I influenced the strategic direction, design, development and implementation of communications products including graphic and digital design, video production, social media, web publishing and the website governance model.

I led and managed the ATO’s web publishing workforce across five sites, providing leadership throughout tax time publishing periods. I also led a team of professionals who managed the relationship between the ATO’s digital delivery services and its internal clients, taking responsibility for the delivery of communications outcomes and tactics for our business and audience teams.

I led the team responsible for website development and management of ato.gov.au, ensuring efficient management of web content management systems, implementation of whole of government initiative and frameworks/policies including WCAG2.0.
