At PSFA I worked mostly in individual giving and gained valuable experience in CSI. I worked with a donor care system to manage the approximately 600 individual donors who support PSFA. I worked on the 2012 Annual Report and organised the AGM in June 2012. I co-ordinated three events, the annual Fundraiser Blisters for Bread which raised 1.3 million, and the Celebrity Chefs Challenge events. I worked with the Agency DraftFCB and with the PR company liquidlingo to promote the 55 year old organisation.

Social Change Assistance Trust works with Community Based Organisations, mostly in remote areas. SCAT provides vital support and funding to CBOs in South Africa. At SCAT's Communications Officer, I was in charge of social media, website, print, radio and video communications. I worked to strategize, manage and oversee SCAT’s Communications Campaign in order to build & sustain donors and partnerships. I was in charge of ensuring people know what SCAT does and want to be involved in SCAT's work. I worked closely with the Fundraiser to ensure that SCAT’s impact is communicated and documented successfully. I worked on the Annual Report and undertook Public Relations and digital marketing for SCAT. I strategized, managed and populated social network tools and was in charge of designing, developing, online editing and maintenance of the organizations website. I analyzed media coverage weekly and create monthly media monitoring reports. I developed online profiles for over 20 CBOs and managed M&E publications and reports. See website here: www.scat.org.za

Produced and project managed two long-form documentaries - "A Country for my Daughter" an award winning film about Women, Violence and the Law, directed by Lucilla Blankenberg and "Law and Freedom", a two part documentary directed by Zackie Achmat. I project Managed a 26 part TV series and communications campaign called Siyayinqoba Beat It! and worked with Jack Lewis to set up Community Media Trusts Outreach Programme in 2006. I fundraised and oversaw the management of the Siyayinqoba Treatment Literacy series in English, isiXhosa, isiZulu, Portuguese and seSotho from 2004 - 2006.During my time at CMT I became HIV literate, learning medical and technical details about HIV and AIDS and also gained gender violence advocacy experience. I worked with many funders and organisations providing funds during the 9 years at CMT. Fundraised and managed grants from The Global Fund; UNICEF; UNAIDS and PEPFAR; the National Department of Health; UKaid – from the Department for International Development (DFID); the Open Society Foundation for South Africa; HIVOS, the Open Society Initiative for South Africa, Atlantic Philanthropies; The Foundation for Human Rights; Section27 (incorporating the AIDS Law Project); the European Union’s CWCI; the Treatment Action Campaign; Mindset Health Network; the Media Development and Diversity Agency; MTN; the Anglo American Chairman’s Fund, The Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA); The National Lottery Development Trust Fund; the Evangelischer Entwicklungsdienst (EED); Johns Hopkins Health & Education in South Africa and others.
