Executive team member, reporting to the CEO, responsible for:• Blood collection activity throughout all states and territories, in fixed sites and mobile venues. Around 100 sites in all, approx. 1,800 staff, collecting 1.3M blood components each year• National marketing, including brand stewardship, donor recruitment campaigns, marketing strategy• National community relations team of 80, responsible for engaging community groups and corporates in group donation programs in all states and territories• 200-person National Contact Centre, based in Adelaide. Undertakes all donor communications via multiple channels including phone, SMS, email, social media, etc.• Decision-making as part of the Executive Team.• Executive Sponsorship of the Blood Service's first significant cloud solution - a CRM for our 700,000 active blood donors

Appointed to role to lead major strategic initiatives requiring cross-divisional collaboration and their respective government interfaces.

Appointed to then-new Executive position to lead the functions of marketing, corporate strategy and business planning. Included leading the organisation’s marketing strategy, marketing function, and social-impact campaigns. Led staff of 35, across all six states.Managed and led the strategic retreat for the Board and Executive in successive years; authored and secured support from CEO and Chairman for the Blood Service’s 2009 – 2014 Strategic Plan.Led refresh of the Australian Red Cross Blood Service brand, including significant changes to strategy, logos, collateral. Successfully led negotiations with international blood service organisations on the Blood Service’s behalf to bring World Blood Donor Day to Australia in 2009. Represented organization on a number of occasions on live national radio and free-to-air commercial television, including in interviews and promotions supporting increased donor recruitment. 

The UNE Foundation receives donations from individuals, corporations and public entities to fund scholarships and contribute to the University's teaching and research priorities. The Board of Directors ensures the appropriate governance of these activities as well as alignment to the broader strategy of the University.

Developed and implemented new pricing strategy for NYBC’s blood operations. Restructured pricing for all major product lines achieving operating surplus and maintaining market share.Developed and facilitated organisation’s first implementation plan in support of 3-year 2002-05 strategy. Negotiated with Executives to establish targets, systems and tracking mechanisms. Conducted Board Strategy sessions as required.Managed strategic agenda for the annual strategic retreat, involving 100 personnel from staff and external stakeholder bodies, including management of major hospital systems, blood industry suppliers and other blood services.
