Served an educational technology company and their academic and industry clients to perform various roles as an Academic Innovation Partner.

-Coordinate assessment, improvement and innovation, and retention and recruiting efforts for academic program currently ranked in the top 40 Criminal Justice Programs in the United States by University HQ (2020).-Developed policies, procedures, and tools for comprehensive student learning and program assessment. The processes served as an exemplar of academic program assessment in the institution’s report submitted to Middle States Commission on Higher Education for re-accreditation (2013, 2022). -Direct annual student learning assessment and 4-year Academic Program Reviews. Submit reports to Vice President for Academic Affairs. Successfully led and implemented curricular and delivery revisions in 2014 and 2019 based upon findings from assessment.-Brought about a working structure to the internship program. Created an internship handbook, Code of Conduct, and other tools for communication and management of internship process. Increased curricular alignment with principles of adult and experiential learning. Created course Moodle platform to facilitate distance learning. In collaboration with political science faculty, supervised team of 6 students to investigate best practices for e-Internships. Created 10-page e-Internship resource book for students in the Social Sciences.-Created advising and student support tools and website for current and prospective criminology and criminal justice majors used by students, faculty advisors, and admissions/recruiting staff.-Lead program strategic planning. Coordinated the evaluation and revitalization of program mission, values, program goals, and student learning goals in 2019. Created a multi-disciplinary “pathway” advising model in response to demand for greater flexibility and personalization of academic programs. -Develop and deliver new student orientation, and other recruitment, on-boarding, and retention-related programs.-Nominated for and completed “Emerging College Leaders” training (32 hours).

Hired as Assistant Professor in 2006, received Tenure and Promoted from Assistant to Associate Professor in 2012, promoted to Full Professor 2018TEACHING -Taught 6-8 courses per academic year, multiple formats. Award for Excellence in Experiential Learning, 2010 and 2014; Honored as Professor of the Year, 2017-Advised 40-50 students per academic year. Named Outstanding Faculty Advisor (2009, 2017). -Served as teaching mentor; Led faculty workshops and training on effective teaching, learning, and assessment. -Provided crisis intervention and prevention education support to victims, survivors, and communities to a 4-county region in Northeast Indiana.-Co-designed and delivered Indiana State's first domestic violence intervention educational program for women incarcerated in local jails. -Evaluated programs for effectiveness. -Designed, developed, and delivered intimate partner violence prevention education to audiences such as high school students, employee groups, and community groups.
