About Jānis Lāma

Interested in everything new and modern. I am for creative and positive approach to any obligation, with a healthy sense of humour and strong communication skills. My job duties I always perform with diligence, precision and joy, because I believe that everyone should work with a positive approach and a full reward. As Agile coach I strongly believe in Agile values and principles, have proven to myself and others that best solutions are born in self-organized Agile teams and happy customers are natural result of that. It is all about people - collaboration and communication between customer, teams and organization!I am not implementing Agile to clients because it is now trendy and cool thing to do, we always start with "why" and needed outcomes in mind. Then we work together towards those outcomes to create unique Lean-Agile way of working for each client, as each organization is unique and operates in their unique ecosystem. Our guiding light are Agile values and principles to create right culture through strong Leadership in client’s organizations. Yes, we also bring in Lean principles and techniques as also, of course, good practices from Agile world - Scrum, Kanban and different scaling frameworks. We constantly learn and improve as Agile has no end destination - it is a constant journey! And yes - it is not only for IT system or organizations, Business Agility is what matters!I am also socially active person - helping to spread Agile world in Latvia. We started with quarterly planings and evolved to continuous ones* worked with Senior Leadership Team as their coach to create a team of them and to reach a high-performance state* designed training programs with a focus on Product Managers, Engineers, and Leadership around the Lean-Agile mindset, values, practices, and outcomes over outputs. Yes, this sounds more like focusing on outputs instead of the outcomes, but analyzing the team's performance and having hints provided they also increased outcomes delivered.* created and facilitated processes to govern the whole company tool stack for a total cost of several million per year. By having a transparent and automated proactive approach as also a deeper analysis of tools unit economics, we were able to save costs, have better deals for renewals, better work with tool adaption, and increased ROI.* and some other cool stuff also was done, thanks to an awesome team and just great colleagues!
