• DP watch operations:- Setting the limits for positioning and heading deviation;- Keeping the vessel position and heading within the limits that have been provided and agreed on;- Ensuring sufficient power and thrust is available to the propulsion systems and backup and redundancy measures are in place and operational.- Ensure that no position or heading change is carried out the approval of the Operations Supervisor;- Checking that any change of position or heading is only done within the limits of the reference systems;- Monitor environmental conditions and vessel responses to make real-time adjustments to the DP system.- Conduct routine checks and inspections of the DP system and equipment to ensure its proper functioning.- Report any faults, malfunctions, or irregularities in the DP system to the Master or SDPO.- Communicate and coordinate with the deck team, client and other relevant personnel to ensure the safety of the vessel and crew.- Maintain accurate records of DP system performance, alarms, and any corrective actions taken.- Advise the master and other officers on potential risks associated with DP activities.- Analyse DP system performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.- Monitor alarms and system status during assigned navigational and DP watches.- Keep detailed logs of DP activities, alarms, and any manual interventions made during the watch.- Assist in implementing emergency procedures during critical situations or DP system failures.• Practise manoeuvring the vessel using manual controls jointly and individually;• Administration of TM Master PMSs, and follow up on maintenance schedule;• Maintenance and upkeep of all FFE and LSA onboard, including planning of drills and safety trainings for crew;• Familiarize new crew members with LSA, FFE equipment and emergency procedures.
