Structure Lead
CurrentWith the goal of developing a climate-neutral, ground-based transportation system, meeting the demand for ultra-fast connections between mobility hubs our structure team is designing crucial parts for the upcomming prototype.
Co-Founder
CurrentAfter the astonishing outcome of the first three Hyperloop Pod competitions and a highspeed world record of 467km/h we wanted to go even bigger and started our own non profit organisation. To offer students the opportunity to fullfill their engineering dreams and grasp the knowledge one can only obtain in full-time project of this scale.
Technical Team Lead
In 2013 Elon Musk published a white paper, describing a new revolutionary transportation system, that he called "Hyperloop". His idea was to combine the advantages of trains and airplanes in a system that can cover medium to long distances quickly and efficiently. The goal is to connect cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco or Munich and Berlin in about half an hour. While companies and engineers around the world started working on this concept, Musk wanted students to join the development of the system as well. He therefore decided to organise a student competition, the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. As the name suggests, the students are expected to develop and manufacture a working prototype for an Hyperloop Pod and to test it on a track built by SpaceX in Hawthorne, California. The WARR Hyperloop team was founded in September 2015 with the goal of taking part in the first edition of the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition in January 2016. A second team was started in October 2016 for the second Competition in August of the same year. Both teams won their respective competition by building the fastest pod in the race. A third competition is planned for summer 2018.In the second team my role as the structure team lead was to design, optimize and organize the production of the CFRP chasis as well organization and distribution of tast for other team members. In the third competition I occupy the role as a technical team lead. Using the experiences of the second competition I support the team with organization of working packages and general technical advice in serveral subsystems.
