As a director I started this initiative to merge the molecular diagnostic labs for 2 leading academic hospitals in the Netherlands. Full responsibility for strategic planning, sales & marketing and negotiations with health insurance providers.

MDxHealth is a biotech company dedicated to developing tests for early cancer detection and personalized treatment decisions. Specifically, MDxHealth develops DNA gene methylation tests to assist physicians, 1) to detect cancer at an early stage with a high level of accuracy and, 2) to predict patient response to cancer therapy or the likelihood of cancer recurrence. As Sales Director Europe I was responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the very specific tests in Europe. Arranged participation in large clinical trials in Belgium, France and UK.

Holland Lab focused on commercializing a diagnostic test for the early detetection of colon rectal cancer. This test was developed by Exact sciences but the test was complex and not very sensitive. We discovered new marker which are indictative of the development of CRC. Holland lab still holds some patents developed during this colaboration.

France Telecom entered the internet provider market by buying Euronet, one of the first internet providers in the Netherlands. From this platform they launched the consumer brand Wanadoo. As sales director, I was responsible for a team of eighty sales representatives and the sign-up of all new subscribers for both brands.

DigiCash was the first online payment provider (comparable to Paypal). As Sales Director, Europe, I was responsible for the implementation of the DigiCash software at major European banks such as Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Société Générale, and others. I was P & L responsible and a member of the management team.

Business Objects was founded in 1994. It develops and markets Business Objects decision support software. In 1994 the company went public on the NASDAQ. In the Netherlands we started at the end of 1994 with four employees. Today there are seventy people working in the Dutch office. Business turnover went from EUR 300 million to EUR 4 billion in five years. Business Objects has since been acquired by SAP.

ATOS Multimedia Group is part of ATOS Origin, the second-largest provider of software services in the Netherlands. Yearly turnover was USD 550 million. I was P & L responsible for all commercial activities by the business unit of thirty-five employees. Clients included Apple, the City of The Hague, Shell, Heineken, Dutch Railways, DSM, Wolters Kluwer, the Dutch Ministry of Education, Dutch Telecom, ABN AMRO Bank, and ING Bank.
