As a member of the Sustainability Advisory Board, my responsibilities include recommending local businesses specializing in energy-efficient construction and sourcing vendors for sustainable resources. I am dedicated to identifying strategies to advance sustainability comprehensively. Utilizing local trades within Globe not only fosters job creation but also strengthens community bonds by promoting inclusivity among existing residents.An example of our sustainable initiatives is the on-site crushing of concrete from a former parking lot, repurposing it to minimize carbon emissions and prevent landfill waste. I am committed to proposing innovative sustainable solutions that enhance the site for both new residents and visitors to the community.

In 2012 the first "The Value of Green" course was created with a speaker panel of 5 individuals. Deciding that was too many participants to provide in depth information, the course now includes 2 panelists and is more dontent-rich. As an instructor, I've taught at ASREB from December, 2014 to March 31, 2017; switching to the Scottsdale Area Association of REALTORS (SAAR) April 2017 - Present "Knowledge is EmPOWERing " is now "The Fifth Element of Home Ownership" ​ is a 3 Hour CE Disclosure course for realtors. The course offers building science, content about energy efficient features, best practices when assisting buyers and sellers with these features, and providing value added service!

This is a Green networking group comprised of companies involved in sustainability, energy efficiency, retrofits and remodels in residential real estate. Pinnacle One Group (POG) is formally a housing based services, community service organization; we are not a BNI. We have a non-profit aspect wherein we provide community services by funding and serving at homeless shelters; breast cancer walk & ALS walk, provide school supplies for needy children, and many other causes. Our members are entrepreneurs and masters of their chosen fields. I'm proud to have co-founded this with John Elson, my friend and home inspector extraordinaire, Inspect-it 1st! Worked to help both buyers and sellers with their home purchases and sales. Developed my niche in real estate by earning both EcoBroker and GREEN designations. Also started volunteering with USGBC and became an instructor during my tenure at RE/MAX. Making great friends along the way and earned the RE/MAX Above the Crowd Award.

Assisted clients with life, disability, and group health insurance; and mutual funds and annuities; assisting with retirement plans as well. This background assists Jan with real estate sales as well. Real Estate is considered as part of a portfolio for her clients. Rookie of the Year, 1990!
